Ok I'm not going to tell you how to do everything. But in your connection you should have qos packet scheduler unchecked, file sharing unchecked. Set your dns servers to be 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 this is called OpenDNS it helps reduce lag and helps protect you on the web. Also disabling effects like slide effects, fade effects etc will also help in your advanced settings of your control panel system. Disabling themes, themes use quite a bit of memory to run. Disabling programs that start up with your computer that are unnecessary in msconfig. Doing all this should help reduce lag. Also one last pointer, organize your desktop and put icons into grouped folders so the desktop isn't such a mess, this will help lag. If you know how to google then you should be fine on figuring out how to do these things.
